About

Moving Being, Being Moving

Clara is a registered associate counselor who fosters healing through art, movement, and somatic exploration. Grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach, Clara co-creates spaces where clients can explore their inner world. Clara’s therapeutic approach mirrors life approach: appreciative of the intricate details that continuously unfold as we pay closer attention; one must be off the mark to find it. Clara believes that by exploring subtle layers one cultivates transforming connections to self and community. Clara develops True Wheel assessments for facilitating Wheel Therapy. Wheel Therapy is a trauma informed, culturally sensitive adventure and nature-based experiential practice that accompanies therapeutic journey. Bicycles, skates, ceramics, and movement are points of contact for therapeutic connection. This innovative approach allows clients to experience therapy in a dynamic, movement-oriented way, with no need to conform to traditional athletic or adventure-based models. Clara believes that healing is deeply personal and supports each client in finding their own path toward coherence, resilience, and well-being. Clara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with minors in Sculpture, Dance, and Psychology from Purchase College, SUNY, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Somatics from Prescott College, CACREP accredited. Clara also earned an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Experiential Counseling from Prescott College, further deepening knowledge of experiential and creative therapies. Clara completed conflict mediation training, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1, is in process of Level 2 training. She speaks Spanish (Hablo español) and Russian (Я говорю по-русски). As a lifelong learner, Clara continually seeks new ways to integrate knowledge and practice, always curious about the intersections of movement, neuroscience, and healing. Whether working individually or in groups, Clara invites bodyful engagement with the body, community, and nature in ways that feel authentic and grounding. Find Clara with Aya, the canine, in the ever-evolving and grooving interplay of art, nature, and present moment experience.
